Logistics Coordinator

Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator will oversee and facilitate the supply chain processes, ensuring that products are delivered on time and within budget. This role involves coordinating shipments, maintaining communication with vendors and customers, and resolving any logistical issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Plan and track shipments, working with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange transportation.
  • Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and delivery logs.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to shipping, delays, or damaged goods.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement and warehouse staff, to ensure smooth logistics.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and packing lists.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to transportation and customs.
  • Monitor and report on transportation costs, working to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment of stock as needed.
  • Identify and address any logistics issues or delays, proactively finding solutions.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with international shipping procedures and customs regulations (if applicable).
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year
