Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing industry procurement resource to support a several month contract engagement with a client in Brookville, Ohio. This role falls within the Manufacturing industry and will be 100% onsite.

As a Sr. Buyer, you will be responsible for an array of duties related to manufacturing practices and supply chain-related tasks, including the purchasing of raw materials and maintaining inventory levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and planning the procurement of raw materials, machinery, tools, and supplies.
  • Maintaining the raw material inventory required to support forecasted sales.
  • Overseeing all sourcing and shipping activities.
  • Planning the production of finished products as needed.
  • Keeping accurate system information such as open purchase quantities, delivery dates, lead times, and inventory levels.
  • Utilizing the SAP Purchasing module for various tasks.
  • Engaging with Google Docs and Excel for documentation and data management.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing process by resolving any supply chain-related issues.
  • Implementing and managing procurement strategies to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Conducting regular reviews of supplier performance to ensure quality standards are being met.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in Procurement and Global Supply Chain management
  • Strong understanding of the Manufacturing industry
  • Experience with SAP software is mandatory
  • Proficient in managing Raw Material Inventory
  • Extensive experience in Purchasing Materials
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and apply insights to procurement strategies
  • Proven track record of cost reduction and efficiency improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel as needed.
