Title: Manufacturing Supervisor
Location: Detroit, Michigan
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising skilled trades employees in support of production processes; support related automation and controls of manufacturing operations; plan project operations and establish priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities according to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards.
- Coordinate the operation and training of the plant's Total Maintenance System (TMS), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and plant schedules.
- Heavy duty equipment maintenance certifications
- Advanced computing skill sets
- Experience with labor agreements and labor control
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or Skilled Trades Individual with a Trucking Mechanic acumen
- Minimum of 5 years of technical experience with trucking components - Will be working in a trucking repair garage
- Knowledge of the maintenance of tractor and trailer equipment
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources
- Knowledge of the transportation and/or logistics industry
- Experience supervising a union workforce is preferred
- Leadership experience is required
