AZAD Technology Partners is seeking a Business Analyst for a full-time, W2 Contract position based in Chicago, Illinois.

The position is hybrid (on-site / remote). Requiring 3 days onsite during the hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm

The initial assignment length is 10 Months with the possibility of full-time hire.

Compensation is $52

hourly. Benefits include

Co-paid Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Cafeteria Plan, as well as the option for Paid Time Off

(dependent on assignment length and amount requested).

Position Summary:

The client is seeking a Business Analyst with 7+ years of experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and technical documentation, specializing in IT Asset Management (ITAM) or related IT infrastructure/applications, including application lifecycle and certifications.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, MS Excel (Pivot Tables), Visio, and SharePoint, along with strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in iterative development environments.
Certifications such as ITIL, CCBA, or CBAP are highly preferred, and the candidate should be skilled in defining processes, analytics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements. The role requires experience in global operations, working with cross-functional, distributed teams, and excellent communication and collaboration skills to act as a liaison between ITAM teams and business stakeholders.

The candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive, analytical mindset and a passion for process improvement and delivering results.

The Candidate will work on the following initiatives and will perform IT Asset Management Business Analyst tasks such as:

Facilitate workshops and meetings with business partners to elicit requirements and drive consensus

Translate business needs into prioritized, clear, actionable, and testable requirements with traceability and alignment to business goals
Conduct interviews to create and modify process and procedure documentation, including process flow diagrams
Support business process improvement by evaluating current practices, identifying process improvement opportunities, and establishing approved modifications
Assist with the creation of control evidence
Maintain Teams, Confluence, and SharePoint sites with key documentation
Analyze data, and identify gaps and remediation steps
Assist with preparing presentations for project engagements
Act as a liaison between ITAM teams and project teams
Support team project activities in Azure Dev Ops

Create and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria

Maintain team tracker for weekly activities

Communicate effectively with business and IT stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding

The ideal candidate will possess the minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, information systems, or a related field
Experience as a Business Analyst in Infrastructure and/or applications with application lifecycle, server-client applications, and application certifications is helpful
Proficiency in defining processes, analytics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with baselining of KPIs
Familiarity working with Project/Portfolio Management Tools such as Clarity and Service Now, Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence
Knowledge of Agile and iterative development methodologies
Solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite and other software including MS Teams/SharePoint, OneNote, Azure DevOps (ADO), Excel (Pivot tables, basic formulas), and Visio
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with all members of the project team
Understanding of current technologies and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
ITIL framework foundations experience

Ability to obtain, understand, and respond strategically to business requirements

7+ years of experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and technical documentation, specializing in IT Asset Management (ITAM)

Experience in a global operations environment and 7+ years performing business analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping and clear concise procedure documentation, with strong relationship management, and support experience

Preferred Certification:

Business Analyst Industry certifications preferred (CCBA, CBAP, or ITIL)
