Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist based in WHITE MARSH, Maryland. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the accounting industry. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will manage customer accounts, process applications, and ensure the accuracy of customer records.
You will also provide support for collections activities as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process customer credit applications
- Maintain precise records of customer credit
- Manage the uploading of customer invoices into the respective systems
- Assist with collections activities as needed, including the dispatching of letters and follow-up on payments
- Post cash receipts to the correct accounts
- Handle the posting of credit memos and deposit accounts
- Utilize CRM and Salesforce Sales Cloud to manage and monitor customer accounts
- Perform various accounting functions such as billing and check processing
- Ensure all cash activities are accurately recorded and managed. • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts receivable role or similar financial position
- Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Salesforce Sales Cloud
- Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in accounting functions
- Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures
- Experience with billing functions and cash activity management
- Ability to handle check processing tasks efficiently
- Experience in cash posting is required
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage large amounts of data and compile detailed reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business relationships
- Demonstrable experience in meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
