Chicago foundation in hiring a part-time Grants Manager for a contract
position starting in April. The Grants Manager will be responsible for
facilitating the foundation/'s grantmaking process, ensuring compliance
with IRS regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with
grantees. This role involves intaking grant requests, processing
payments, and prepping materials for the organization/'s board. This
contract is scheduled to last 4-6 months and our client is open to

**Key Responsibilities:**
**Grant Management & Administration:**- Oversee the day-to-day management of the organization/'s grants
- Ensure compliance with foundation and IRS regulatory requirements.
- Work with program staff to invite new proposals.
- Keep contact and organization records up to date.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees, providing
- Provide technical assistance to grantees, applicants, and staff.
- Work with communications staff to draft and release web announcement
for grant approvals.
**Financial & Compliance Oversight:**- Work with the accounting team to ensure proper disbursement and
monitoring of funds.

```- Draft and send out grant agreements for the organization/'s grant
- Run reports from the grants management system in response to staff
data requests.
**Qualifications & Skills:**- 3+ years of experience in grants management or philanthropy.
- Experience with Fluxx (grants management database) is required.
- Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to charitable giving.
- Can primarily work during Central Standard Time zone.
- Ability to exercise discretion and act in a confidential manner is
of utmost importance.
