Hybrid Attorney - Baltimore!

Maryland law firm has a unique opportunity for a 3rd-8th year Litigation Associate with medical malpractice experience. This firms sets themselves apart from others locally by offering a hybrid work environment, no set billable hour requirement and opportunity to advance without growing your own personal book of business.
This position would work closely with two Partners with robust practices in the field and be given a tremendous amount of autonomy. Preferred candidates will be highly motivated, organized, able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a timely fashion.

Admission to the Maryland Bar, excellent academic credentials, medical records/medical malpractice experience, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. This firm offers a comprehensive benefits package and excellent growth potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling complex medical malpractice cases and providing expert legal counsel
  • Representing clients in court for trials and hearings
  • Drafting and filing legal briefs and motions
  • Conducting and defending depositions
  • Regular interaction with clients and expert witnesses
  • Performing extensive legal research and analysis
  • Ensuring all activities comply with the legal and ethical standards of the profession
  • Demonstrating a strong passion for healthcare and civil litigation
  • Providing strategic advice and guidance on litigation matters and potential legal risks
  • Managing a diverse caseload and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Possession of a professional law degree (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Attorney or Lawyer.
  • Active membership of the Bar Association in good standing.
  • Proven experience in medical malpractice cases.
  • Demonstrated expertise in trials and court hearings.
  • Experience in defending depositions.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal briefs.
  • Skilled in handling discovery processes in legal cases.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases concurrently.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
