Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in EASTON, Pennsylvania. The role involves performing data entry tasks, verifying vendor information, and resolving invoice discrepancies. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of invoices received
• Validate vendor information such as W9’s, 1099’s, banking instructions, etc
• Enter invoice payments following established processes and audit controls
• Record general ledger entries for processed payments
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with internal contacts and outside vendors
• Support the Accounts Payable annual controls audit
• Assist with month-end close, including producing accurate month end accruals and completing other month end functions on time
• Perform miscellaneous clerical or other related duties as needed.

• Must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Should have experience in Coding Invoices
• Ability to Enter Invoices accurately is required
• Proficiency in accounting software is desirable
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a plus
• Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk (or accounts receivable clerk) is desirable.
