San Diego - Manager, Sales Development - Personal Insurance (Los Angeles & CA North Region)
Overview:
Position Summary:The primary job function is to provide leadership to the Sales Development team to meet sales goals and business objectives. May manage a designated Sales Development territory while leading a Sales Development team to include internal, hybrid or external Sales Development representatives.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Leads and develops Sales Development team in assigned territory with the objective of achieving sales targets such as growth, new agency appointments, policy applications and policy quotes
- Works with Sales Development team to develop excellent business partnerships with external agents in an effort to develop accounts to their fullest potential
- Monitors progress against sales targets and develops alternative plans of action to ensure that team goals are met
- Shares market knowledge with Product Management, Underwriting, IT and management to improve and enhance the Company’s competitive position
- Ensures team is motivated, engaged and delivers at their highest potential by leveraging the company’s programs and other tools.
- Mentors and develops team members, provides career guidance, continuous performance feedback and appropriately addresses team member’s performance and/or behaviors that do not align with the company’s core values by partnering with Human Capital
- Leads the recruitment process (hiring, training, developing) for new talent within assigned territory
- Responsible for leading change management initiatives, product awareness and ensuring agent engagement through various modes of communication
- Other functions may be assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification or Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) designations preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- 6-8 years of sales/marketing experience in insurance
- Prior management experience preferred
- Experience in sales in private passenger auto insurance industry desired

Pay Range: USD $96,292.00 - USD $178,435.00 /Yr.
