In House Generalist Counsel

We are in search of an In House Generalist Counsel to join our client in Sacramento, California. This role involves handling complex legal matters, from their inception to resolution, and requires excellent strategic thinking, research, and writing skills.
You will be a key player in our legal team, advocating for our clients and managing various cases across business and real estate transactions, corporate law, tax planning, trust and estates, business litigation, family law, banking and finance, and intellectual property.
Responsibilities:- Advocate for clients effectively and manage complex cases from inception through resolution
- Conduct comprehensive research and produce high-quality written legal advice
- Handle business and real estate transactions, ensuring all legal requirements are met
- Provide legal advice on corporate law matters and assist in the development of corporate strategies
- Manage tax planning strategies and advise on their legal implications
- Handle trust and estate cases, ensuring all legal requirements are met
- Manage business litigation cases, demonstrating strategic thinking and excellent negotiation skills
- Provide legal advice on family law matters, ensuring all client needs are met
- Manage banking and finance cases, ensuring all legal requirements are met
- Handle intellectual property cases, protecting client interests and rights.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an equivalent In House Counsel role
- Proficient in the use of 3M and Adobe Acrobat
- Skilled in the use of Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) and HRMS
- Demonstrable experience with legal software
- Able to draft contracts effectively
- Good understanding of law regulation
- Experience in real estate transaction and estate planning
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Must have a law degree from an accredited law school
- Must be a member in good standing of the bar in the state in which you will operate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical ability
- High degree of detail oriented ethics and integrity
- Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information
- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
