Sr. Accountant

We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Sr. Accountant to be a part of our team. The role is based in Dallas, Texas, and will involve taking part in a range of accounting tasks, focused on the Real Estate industry. The Sr. Accountant will be entrusted with the responsibility of handling full cycle accounting tasks, understanding debt, and engaging in a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Execute full cycle accounting duties with precision.
- Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Engage in the preparation of General Ledger and Journal Entries.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks.
- Participate in the Month End Close process.
- Play an active role in various projects, demonstrating adaptability and a keen interest in diverse tasks.
- Deepen understanding of debt and its impact on financial planning and decision making.
- Work closely with the Real Estate Accounting department on related tasks.
- Strive towards achieving CPA certification. • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is essential.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger management.
- Ability to perform Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Capable of preparing accurate Journal Entries.
- Experience in managing Month End Close processes.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to high quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to stay informed about industry trends and changes in regulations.
