Responsibilities

Responsible for providing support for revenue recognition entries and analysis. This includes completion of the close and ensuring that the general ledger account balances are accurate. Responsible for providing management with key analytics and working closely with other departments.

Job Description:

• Ensure timely and accurate recognition of revenue with preparation of monthly journal entries
• Evaluate customer contracts to determine proper method of revenue recognition under company policies and in accordance with ASC 606
• Maintain integrity of revenue recognition systems, including spreadsheet analysis and contract management database
• Work closely with the Sales, Billing, and Contract Management departments for the completion of contracts and the assessment of contract terms and conditions for billing and revenue recognition
• Responsible for completing and reviewing monthly account analysis by reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
• Responsible for providing management and regional stakeholders with account analysis and flux explanations
• Prepares and reviews reports supporting internal and external audits
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), general accounting process and internal control elements

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting
• 2-5 years of accounting experience required
• CPA highly preferred
• Experience in public accounting, auditing public companies, and/or revenue accounting experience from public companies highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create concise, high quality reports
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger and Oracle HFM a plus
• Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel a plus
• Must be information technology savvy
• Hands on, with the ability to balance the “big picture” with tactical execution
• Proactive, energetic, and possessing a strong work ethic
