Social Behavior Learning Solutions provides In-Home and Center Based Applied Behavioral Analysis(ABA) services to children and adolescence 1-15 years of age diagnosed with Autism, Intellectual and/or Developmental disabilities. We are currently recruiting a Registered Behavior Technician in/around Union City, NJ (Hudson County).

Scheduling:

• Availability REQUIRED Mondays through Fridays (9am-3pm)
• Part-Time w/ Full-Time possibility

Responsibilities of the Job:

• Participate in a training program that provides instruction on ABA, discrete trial teaching techniques, management of maladaptive behaviors, child development and data collection techniques applicable to the client population.
• Study patient behavior and apply ABA principles
• Implement 1:1 behavioral intervention programs to children with autism in their homes, permitted facilities or center based.
• Utilize key communication skills to provide effective feedback to clients parents/guardians
• Effectively communicate positive and transparent feedback to clients parents/guardians
• Be able to recognize and respond to critical improvements in clients behaviors.
• Become familiar with and use behavioral redirection techniques
• Receive supervision and feedback from assigned BCBA, for each client they work with.
• Observe and record child's behaviors through data input into excel and log hours and data accurately.
• Communicate with supervisory staff and other team members daily via email, phone and text.

Requirements of the job:

• Must be currently working in the mental health field
• 1-2 years of ABA experience with children diagnosed with Autism or other disabilities.
• Strong communication skills required
• Ability to work under high-stress situations
• Demonstrates autonomy, integrity, and organization
• Positive and satisfactory responses of professional references
• Approved clearance of criminal background and driving record check
• Must have a reliable vehicle.

Education requirements:

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in related field
• RBT Required – Registered Behavior Technician
