Full Charge Bookkeeper

This role is crucial to our operations in the construction industry and involves working closely with our external CPA firm to manage taxes and handle all workers’ compensation-related tasks.

• Oversee the transition from a paper-based accounting system to a digital platform, setting up chart of accounts, general ledger, and establishing accounting procedures.
• Manage all aspects of the company’s accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Liaise with the external CPA firm to ensure all required taxes (federal, state, and local) are calculated accurately and paid on time each month.
• Oversee the administration of workers' compensation, including reporting and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations by managing permits, licenses, and renewals.
• Oversee invoicing and billing, preparing and sending invoices to clients in a timely manner.
• Monitor incoming payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and process payments.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies as part of maintaining accurate customer credit records
• Prior experience working within the Construction Industry

• Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft Excel
• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Understanding of Workers Compensation guidelines
• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
• Experience in Coding Invoices
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Relevant work experience in a similar role is advantageous.
