Overview:

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to oversee complex Navy C4I and NIWC programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience supporting large-scale programs and projects.

This position demands in-depth knowledge of program management, Navy C4I systems, and expertise in AVAYA or CISCO telephony (preferably both).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Navy C4I program(s), ensuring successful execution of project deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Provide technical and programmatic support in areas such as Equipment Support, System Support, and Programmatic Support.
  • Conduct technology assessments, systems design, and systems analysis to ensure optimal program performance.
  • Oversee acquisition and budget planning, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, both internal and external, providing clear communication and reports to senior management.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative work environment that enhances program efficiency and success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any technical or managerial discipline.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of Program Management experience with a focus on Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Acquisition Planning, and Budget Planning.
  • Four (4) years as manager of DoD UC system projects.
  • Five (5) years of experience managing Navy C4I program(s).
  • Expertise in AVAYA or CISCO telephony systems (preferably both).
  • Secret clearance required.
  • Thorough understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills appropriate for a management-level position.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage large-scale, complex programs within budgetary and timeline constraints.
  • This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Suffolk, VA.
