Telecommunications Engineer I (Contractor)

We are seeking a dedicated Network Solutions Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling customer assessments, physical infrastructure evaluations, property-wide building/campus plans, and network design criteria to develop managed wireline and wireless network solutions.
The solutions aim to serve diverse properties, including apartments, student and retirement housing, gated communities, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform WAN/LAN indoor and outdoor design computations, analyze network systems, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare quote documents, estimates, and proposal responses as requested.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering, Sales Engineering, and Managed WiFi Operations, Architecture, and Product Teams.
- Create process and workflow documentation.
- Project manage designs of varying complexity, prioritize deliverables, and maintain leadership in guiding stakeholders.
- Maintain Architectural Design Specifications for Design Engineering and related database of approved equipment elements that comprise a digital Bill of Materials.
- Embrace the role of application leader, maximizing tool effectiveness while training colleagues on making best use of capabilities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in design, architecture, and/or technical writing disciplines.
- 3 - 6 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with design and documentation ecosystems.
- Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines.
- Excellent technical documentation, visualization, writing, and editing skills.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Ekahau, BlueBeam, Visio, PPT, CAD, Excel, Word, Salesforce.
- Knowledge of Access/Equipment Technology: DOCSIS, PON, HFC, Ethernet, Routing, Switching, APs, WiFi, Fiber, Coax, CATx.
