Decot, a leader in the shooting eyewear industry, is seeking an Optical Logistics & Quality Assurance Associate to join our tight knit team. At Decot, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality products and exceptional service tailored to their unique sports vision needs.
As an Optical Logistics Associate, you will play a vital role in our company's success by utilizing your expertise to assist customers in selecting the perfect eyewear and ensuring that their sports vision is prioritized. You will also be responsible for final inspection and shipping out customer orders.
Inspecting, prepping, cleaning, and boxing glasses before shipment and insuring they meet our quality standards before shipping to the customer. You will also be spending time taking sales orders over the phone when you are not processing glasses for shipment.
Customers service, attention to detail, and a strong eyewear background will make you very successful in this role. Familiarity with different lens styles, options, lens materials etc. Troubleshoot customer issues as they arise. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with patients and colleagues.
Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in selecting eyewear that meets their visual and lifestyle needs. Explain lens options and features, including the benefits of various coatings, tints, and types of lenses to clients.

Our laidback work environment that's Monday - Friday 6:30-3:30.No nights or weekends! Full paid benefits (UHC Gold plan), dental, 401k matching, up to 5 weeks PTO and 10 holidays a year. $17-19/hr DOE plus yearly bonus based on year end profit.
Duties:
This position is a hybrid position. Your primary duties will be to inspect and insure accuracy of all customer orders leaving the facility. This includes manually verifying the order taken match's the order input and the product pulled. You will verify addresses for accuracy and make any updates to errors or omissions.Inspecting, prepping, cleaning, and boxing glasses before shipment and insuring they meet our quality standards before shipping to the customer. Maintain accurate records of customer orders and prescription information in compliance with privacy guidelines.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an optician.- Strong knowledge of optical products and lens materials
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficient with optical equipment and tools, including lensometers and frame adjustment devices.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records.
- Ability to use multiline phone system and email.
- Computers skills a must.
- Prior shipping or logistics skills a big plus but will train the right candidate.
