DC Department Manager

Job Description:
The DC Department Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating departmental activities, inbound or outbound, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the operation while overseeing associate work instruction and implementing policies and procedures to facilitate a successful work environment.
The DC Department Manager is responsible for ensuring a continuous stream of talent to sustain organizational growth and improve operations by attracting, retaining, and developing team members and meeting their needs for career growth.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow through written and verbal instruction.
- Ability to safely operate all powered equipment within the Distribution Center.
- Reviews and addresses individual productivity results with team members.
- Conducts team member counseling and disciplinary actions, addresses complaints and resolves issues and/or problems when needed.
- Maintains time and production records, and prepares composite reports.
- Evaluates procedures and methodologies to improve efficiency and establish standards, and provides recommendations to improve production methods.
- Completes annual performance evaluations for department team members, and recommends promotions and merit pay increases based on team member’s performance.
- Discusses priorities with other managers within the Distribution Center to coordinate activities to ensure maximum productivity.
- Participates in planning personnel safety, training and building protection activities. Ensures safety procedures are being followed within the Distribution Center.
- Responible for making sure required materials and tools are available and in working condition to meet the department’s objectives. Maintains and monitors a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Requirements- At least 3 years of prior leadership experience in a warehouse related field.
- Knowledge of AS/400 and all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
- Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Eligible to work in the Unites States.
- Comfortable with all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Extremely organized and demonstrates the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Understands staffing requirements within designated department.
- Broad understanding of multiple department functions.
- Knowledge of AS/400.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Have excellent multitasking ability
- Willingness to continue to evolve and develop personal skills to meet the changing environment.
- Demonstrated self-starter and motivated individual.
- Willingness to learn new skills and gain knowledge about all aspects of the Distribution Center operations.
- Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willing to get powered equipment certification.

Pay Range: USD $75,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
