Food Service Worker ( Cold production)
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently looking to hire a Food Service Worker (Cold Production ) for their client in Newark, NJ location .
Job Type -Temp to HireShift Hours – Flexible to work any 8hrs shifts from 6:00am - 2:30pm or 7:00am - 3:30pm (M-F), possible weekends.
Pay – 21.19/HRESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares cold food items such as, but not limited to, cold plates, fruit bowls, desserts, salads, sandwiches, pre-prep and caterings for patients, staff, students, and visitors.
- Maintains proper food handling and storage to comply with Federal, State, and Local Health regulations, and standards as set forth by The Joint Commission.
- Maintains work area in an organized, clean, and sanitary manner.
- Properly uses knives, kitchen utensils, and equipment in a safe manner.
- Understands and adheres to University Hospital’s compliance standards as they appear in University Hospital’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and University Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
- At least one (1) or more years of Food Service, Customer Service, and/or hospitality experience required.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently to perform the duties of the position required. Act as a liaison between the patient unit(s) and the Department of Food and Nutrition.
- Effective verbal and written communications. Customer service and hospitality- oriented. Attention to detail with appropriate follow through. Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.19 per hour
