Overview:

This role will report into a Director of Open Loop Gift, managing all aspects of consumer-funded open loop gift cards in the North American retail channel. In addition to product onboarding and oversight of cross-functional and operational projects, the open loop gift category requires strategic relationship management of Blackhawk's partnerships with Visa, Mastercard and Discover networks, as well as multiple issuing financial institutions and white label collaborations.

Such partnerships will require this product manager to be adept at both creating and presenting customer facing communications and regular partner business reviews. The Open Gift product management role requires inception-to-launch oversight of a physical product.

This role will work closely with engineering teams, finance, risk, settlement, compliance, product marketing and business development. Candidates need to be independent problem solvers and adept at executing multi-faceted project launches. This role requires candidates be adept at managing customer and account relationships and are skilled at customer facing communications, both written and in-person.

Ideal candidates will also possess some knowledge of payment networks and processing. CPG product management or project management a plus. Some travel required.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary relationship manager, responsible for identifying new opportunities for growth and collaboration in our strategic partnerships with Payment networks
  • Manage white label product partnerships and collaborations and provide regular business and performance overviews to those partners as needed
  • Work closely with both external transaction processing platforms and our proprietary processing platform (Keystone), in cooperation with issuing banks and credit networks to coordinate technical product onboardings and UPC configuration
  • Maintain and regularly reviewing financial models for all product offerings to assess opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies across all revenue and expense inputs
  • Coordinate with forecasting, internal product implementation teams and print vendors to review demand forecasts, secure card orders and execute cost-efficient inventory production, fulfillment, and compliant storage
  • Collaborate regularly with internal risk management teams and packaging vendors to help mitigate fraud in both the cyber and packaging space and help us continue to be innovators in the packaging security space
  • Facilitation of product distribution and identification of retail optimization strategies within several hundred physical and eCommerce retailers
  • Oversight and management of promotional marketing budget. Key decision maker in allocation of funds towards in-market promotional spend as well as social and brand awareness campaigns
  • Work closely with issuing banks and internal legal and compliance departments to ensure products meet all Federal regulatory, BSA/AML, FINCEN & Association requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Min 7 years experience in product, project or account management
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Self-directed with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • 2+ years experience in prepaid or payments industry
  • Some travel required

Benefits:

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $101,660.00 to $137,250.00
