We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Helpdesk Tech and IT Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Tier 2 support and strong communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations, follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments.
  • Conducting a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
  • Collaborate with Tier-2 support for failure identification and resolution
  • Assist with the preparation of design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of equipment.
  • Maintain daily performance of equipment
  • Work through the problem-solving process with employees, empowering them to do the same in the future
  • Respond to customer queries in person, by phone, via email or the ticketing system.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on Tech Support experience providing outstanding customer service, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical and user issues and providing user administration.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building, troubleshooting and managing desktop/laptop/Mac platforms, desktop applications, various OS including Mac, Windows and Linux, network and printers
  • 4+ years of hands-on Windows and Linux server System Administration experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Virtualization, Cyber Security, TCP/IP, Networking, LAN/WAN, Telecommunications, Firewalls, Proxy, VPN, PKI, Authorization/Authentication, and Cloud technologies
  • Demonstrated success working in highly technical organizations with a strong customer service focus
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Applicants selected must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance; therefore, U. S. Citizenship is required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly growing environment.
Education
  • Relevant college degree plus two years of experience, or five years of relevant experience
