Miami - Structural Project Engineer

We are currently looking to add a Structural Project Engineer to our team. As a Structural Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and miscellaneous structures, with guidance provided on complex matters
- Approach tasks with a project mindset, to include coordination with other disciplines throughout the duration of the project; propose innovative solutions to design problems with an understanding of project scope and goals
- Assign, track, and review tasks of technicians, designers, and engineers, ensuring adherence to project schedules; QC final work product
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review; perform independent peer reviews on team work products
- Review contract plans and calculations from other engineering teams and outside entities to verify completion and compliance with governing structural design codes and contract plans and specifications
- Potential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record for mid-size and miscellaneous structural designs
- Effectively present proposed team design solutions as part of internal project meetings; attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
- Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates, providing technical proposal support, and participating in marketing campaigns
- Ensure timely completion of time sheets, expense reports, and labor hours management
- Take ownership of personal and team member career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop and teach new skills, and setting and pursuing goals
- Contribute to the development of team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineeringwith an emphasis on Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Years of Experience: 6+ years
