Overview:

As the Category Support Specialist, you will provide end-to-end specialized support for all aspects of category management. You will be the front-line representation for assigned categories. You will also be responsible for reporting, price accuracy, ad and promotional planning, communication and contract maintenance.

This person will be highly energetic, self-motivated, detail-attentive and will perform with a high degree of accuracy while consistently reflecting the company’s overall vision of inspiring happiness, healthy living and simplicity for each of our guests.

Responsibilities of This Position Include:

  • Gather and input Ad and Promotional information into the promotional planning sheets and/or systems
  • Verify product information in weekly advertisements and ensure ads accurately reflect contracts and agreements
  • Communicate Ad and Promotional information to appropriate parties, to include; vendor partners, managers, operations and marketing teams
  • Assist with creating, producing and distribution of communication around special Ads and Promotions.
  • Accurately record item pricing information into cost as well as on necessary forms, price books and product lists
  • Communicate pricing guidelines and recommendations to the appropriate parties and ensure pricing is maintained in all systems accurately for all banners;
  • Partner with vendors to maintain accurate pricing on current products and new products according to contracts and agreements.
  • Maintain information related to category assortment and assist the category management team with maintaining shelf placement and plan-o-gram details in appropriate systems.
  • Accurately input all required information on deals into the appropriate forms, spreadsheets, and systems
  • Provide support for and lead communications with managers for ad planning and pre-book items
  • Assist category management team with accurate record keeping of contracts, deals and promotions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for manager’s requests and questions, responding with a sense of urgency and guest focus while ensuring consistent feedback is provided
