  • The client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for their K-12 construction projects. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. This position requires close collaboration with school districts, subcontractors, architects, and the project team to successfully deliver educational facilities that meet the needs of students, teachers, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager will lead and manage all phases of K-12 construction projects, from pre-construction to completion, ensuring all deadlines and specifications are met.
  • They will develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, maintaining a detailed record of progress.
  • The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients (including school districts), subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
  • Monitoring and tracking project progress, identifying and addressing any delays or issues, is a crucial responsibility.
  • The Project Manager will ensure compliance with K-12 education building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements, ensuring the completed facility is functional and conducive to the learning environment.
  • Managing procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors for educational facilities will be part of the role.
  • The Project Manager will review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure they align with the client's expectations and regulations.
  • Regular project meetings will be conducted to track progress, resolve challenges, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • The Project Manager will maintain detailed project documentation, including reports and schedules.
  • Client satisfaction will remain a top priority, ensuring that all K-12 projects meet or exceed the client's expectations.

The Successful Applicant
  • 5+ years of project management experience in construction, with a focus on K-12 education projects or similar public-sector construction projects.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale K-12 or educational facility projects.
  • Strong knowledge of K-12 specific construction codes, regulations, and requirements.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and project scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential.
  • The Project Manager should be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality is required.
  • OSHA or other relevant safety certifications are preferred.
