Teacher Assistant
Partner and assist the Lead Teacher in fulfilling job duties in managing the assigned class, including:
Implementing the Daily Schedule & Lesson Plan.
Keep children engaged.
Keep room clean and sanitized procedures are follows when applicable. Make sure jobs in Cleaning Sheets are properly done and initialed after done.
Keep an accurate children count, keep Tadpole updated & display of children in the class room at all times.
Maintain and updating the Daily Report on Tadpole for each child in the class.
To the extent possible, keep the Incidents and Accidents to a minimum.
Prepare (when needed) and communicate first to Director, and then to parents the Incident and Accident Reports
Send pics/short video via Tadpole to parents of each child during the day.
Partner with Lead Teacher in preparing & updating each childs Assessment and progress report.
Provide timely feedback to Class Teacher about a childs unsatisfactory behavior, and assist Class Teacher in implementing the plan to address same.
Keep class room free of safety hazards for children and staff.
Keep updated, and provide necessary training to Floaters assigned in the class room with: State DCF rules, Bright Kidz policies, etc.
Keep updated about Employee Handbook and Parent Handbook (link removed)>Participate in all Staff meetings
Complete all trainings on time as suggested by the Management.
