Payroll Supervisor

The Payroll Supervisor will perform a range of tasks to ensure the company's payroll operations run smoothly and efficiently. Duties include supervising payroll staff, handling payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with payroll tax laws, creating payroll reports, and providing input in decisions relating to the company's payroll strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the day-to-day payroll operations.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities.
- Generate payroll and related reports for the management.
- Review and monitor payroll processing to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Liase with relevant government bodies to ensure payroll taxes are up-to-date and processed correctly.
- Ensure regulatory compliance regarding all payroll functions.
- Train and mentor payroll team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role; Construction industry experience is a plus.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is desired.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, advanced proficiency in Excel, and experience with payroll software.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to salaries, wages, and benefits.
