We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer in the Healthcare/NHS industry located in Stamford, Connecticut. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting various systems in a bustling work environment. This role will also require maintaining and operating systems like Windows operating system, Active Directory, DNS & DHCP, VMWare, Citrix, Exchange, File and Print services, Enterprise Backup Systems, McAfee Antivirus & Antispam protection, Cisco UCS server hardware, and Dell/EMC SANs.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and operating the Windows operating system
- Maintaining and supporting Active Directory, DNS & DHCP
- Handling the operation and support of VMWare and Citrix
- Implementing and maintaining Exchange, File and Print services
- Overseeing Enterprise Backup Systems and ensuring their efficient operation
- Managing McAfee Antivirus & Antispam protection systems
- Operating and supporting Cisco UCS server hardware and Dell/EMC SANs
- Providing support and maintenance to Windows servers in a SAN/NAS environment
- Leveraging skills in Citrix Technologies, Active Directory, VMware, and Veeam Backup for daily tasks
- Ensuring the smooth operation of all systems and addressing any technical issues promptly. • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Systems Engineering role, preferably within the Healthcare/NHS industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in Citrix Technologies is required.
- Proficiency in Active Directory is a must.
- Should have extensive experience working with VMware.
- Experience with Veeam Backup is necessary.
- Knowledge and experience in NetScaler will be advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven experience in managing and maintaining system security.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field is required.
- Professional IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional will be advantageous.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to IT systems in the healthcare industry will be beneficial.
