Responsibilities
This role involves overseeing Production and Warehouse operations to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Key responsibilities include:
- Operations Management: Plan and manage labor, materials, and consumables to optimize daily production and warehouse functions. Work with Quality Management to reduce variation, scrap, and rework, and enhance supplier quality.
- Customer Collaboration: Prioritize work plans with Customer Service to fulfill customer requirements, acting as the internal “voice of the customer.”
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with management to adopt new technologies, improve warehouse efficiency, and build a culture of continuous improvement focused on reducing waste.
- Safety and Training: Ensure the SRW team adheres to safety protocols, improve safety measures, and maintain high standards for inventory accuracy. Train staff on equipment, especially forklifts, and supervise with SMART objectives and regular feedback.
- Logistics and Inventory: Oversee trucking and logistics partners, manage inventory for cycle count accuracy above 98%, and ensure stock aligns with customer needs.
