Our client, a well-established business in the construction industry, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. If you have a strong work ethic and enjoy working with numbers in a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, ensure proper coding, reconcile accounts, and assist with payment processing.
• Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain up-to-date records.
• Assist with bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Coordinate with the payroll team to ensure accurate data entry for timesheets and subcontractor payments.
• Organize and maintain vendor files, contracts, and tax documents.
• Provide general support to the accounting team with ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate degree or coursework in accounting is a plus.
• 1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction or related industries.
• Experience using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas).
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional accuracy in processing financial data.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with construction billing processes, such as AIA billing or certified payroll, is a plus but not required.
