We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller in Alpharetta, Georgia. The role is within the Motor Freight Forwarder industry and will be based in a dynamic workplace environment. As an Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing accounting functions, using Accounting Software Systems, and conducting audits.

• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer credit applications
• Manage and maintain comprehensive customer credit records
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions as required
• Conduct audits and upload the required data to the audit portal
• Validate Balance sheet reconciliations as part of the accounting functions
• Participate in the Month End Close process, including Rate Volume variance explanations
• Utilize technology for Lease accounting and manage accounting aspects related to Auto Liability and General Liability
• Utilize Accounting Software Sage 100 for various accounting functions. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is required
• Experience in Auditing is essential
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Motor Freight Forwarding industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• High level of integrity and dependability
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
