Design Engineer
A Design Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Alpharetta, GA area. The CAD Electrical Design Engineer supports production engineers by creating and modifying project drawings, troubleshooting electrical designs, and training team members on EPLAN software.

salary: $27.04 - 37.86 per hour
work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:
- Create new project drawings and databases for the manufacturing team.
- Review project requests concerning electrical controls design and hardware implementation.
- Assist with training documentation and team training related to EPLAN software.
- Troubleshoot electrical design issues for QC control.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication.
- Problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Knowledge of the EPLAN software development lifecycle.
- Mid-level expertise in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, and electronic controls in schematic and physical layouts.
- Troubleshooting of electrical control systems.
- Understanding of IEEE, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, UL certifications relevant to electrical controls in panels and switchgear.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field required.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of electrical controls experience (or 2-year degree with 4+ years experience).
