One of our clients is looking for a Collections specialist for a 3 months contract.

• Monitor accounts to identify and resolve outstanding balances.
• Contact customers via phone, email, or written correspondence to collect overdue payments.
• Negotiate payment arrangements or settlements in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Research and resolve disputes, billing errors, or discrepancies to facilitate payment resolution.
• Document all collection activities, including contacts, agreements, and next steps, in the relevant systems.
• Generate aging reports and analyze customer accounts for accuracy and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as customer service and billing, to resolve payment issues.
• Recommend accounts for escalation, including those requiring legal action or write-offs.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (requirement); an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting or billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of regulations related to collections, including FDCPA (preferred).
