Brooks Utility Products is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to support the organization in all-things marketing. This role involves supporting the sales team with necessary materials and ensuring the effective use of marketing content to achieve business objectives.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of marketing and sales processes.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Customer Service & Sales Support / Enablement:
- Communicates regularly with the sales and customer service teams to ensure customer requests for products meet requirements. Help identify appropriate product SKUs based on technical requirements.
- Lead the development of marketing materials, communication collateral, product positioning documents, white papers, case studies, and training documentation to further enable the commercial team.
- Gather and relay feedback from the sales team to improve the effectiveness of marketing content and strategies.
- Competitive Analysis & Voice of the Customer (VOC):
- Analyze competitor offerings, identify market gaps, and develop strategies to differentiate our products.
- Execute targeted VOC initiatives, synthesis data, and translate findings to meaningful business actions.
- Genuinely curious to learn about electric utility industry and understand emerging trends / news.
- Product Portfolio Pricing & Proposal Management:
- Complete regular requests for proposal (RFP) by completing costing and pricing analyses with support from engineering, operations, and finance.
- Manage and maintain product portfolio price book and disseminate quarterly updates to the organization.
- Website Management & SEO/SEM:
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the company website.
- Work closely with web developer(s) and designers to ensure the site is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for SEO.
- Monitor website analytics and implement strategies to improve traffic and conversion rates.
- Trade Show and Events Support:
- Champion the planning and execution of all company marketing events, including trade shows, and conferences.
- Maintain the Trade Show and Events calendar and meet all deadlines and deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in marketing management, with a strong emphasis in industrial products
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools
- Proficiency in web development principles and experience managing website projects
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
- Computer and graphic design skills; Canva, Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred
- Ability to learn and understand new products and technology
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
