We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Communications & Community Engagement Manager in Alexandria, Virginia. As a Communications & Community Engagement Manager, you will be tasked with implementing effective communication strategies and community-building initiatives, developing creative content, and managing various communication and marketing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement member engagement strategies, including personalized email communications and community-building initiatives
- Collaborate with teams to create and share compelling content, such as visuals, that resonate with various target audiences
- Contribute to the editorial calendar to create tailored content featuring key news, educational opportunities, and impactful events
- Manage communication initiatives, including press releases, thought leadership pieces, social posts, website content, and newsletters
- Create and manage a social media moderation plan to engage the community, monitor interactions, and identify any reputational risks
- Interact with social followers, members, and establish partnerships with relevant organizations and influencers to expand visibility within the industry
- Stay updated on industry trends and digital marketing best practices, applying insights to enhance communication strategies and member engagement
- Work closely with the marketing team to set up email automation, forms, and landing pages tailored to enhance the member journey
- Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign, Content Management System (CMS), and HubSpot to aid in your tasks
- Drive brand awareness through various channels, including advertisements, blogging, brochures, and campaign planning.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe InDesign
- Experience with Content Management System (CMS)
- Proven ability to create effective advertisements
- Strong blogging skills to engage with our audience
- Experience in increasing brand awareness
- Ability to design and create brochures that reflect our brand identity
- Experience in campaign planning and execution
- Strong media relations skills, including writing and distributing media releases
- Excellent client communication skills
- Experience developing and implementing communication strategies
- Track record of successful community outreach and engagement
- Expertise in using HubSpot for marketing and sales activities
