Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality management within the organization, ensuring that products and processes meet both internal and external standards.

In addition to possessing strong foundational skills in quality management, the successful candidate will excel at compiling, analyzing, and interpreting quality data to drive continuous improvement. They will be adept at root cause problem solving and have a proven track record in implementing effective process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Compilation and Analysis: Collect, compile, and analyze quality data from various sources, using statistical methods and software tools to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis efforts for quality-related issues, using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams) to identify and address underlying causes.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and optimize fulfillment processes.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with customer service and sales teams to address customer complaints and feedback, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor staff on quality management practices, tools, and techniques, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on quality performance, trends, and improvement activities to senior management, making data-driven recommendations for future actions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing, fulfillment, or production environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in quality management tools and techniques, including statistical analysis software (e.g., Excel, Minitab, SPC, SQL, Power BI), root cause analysis methods, and process improvement frameworks.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to compile, analyze, and interpret complex quality data, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven track record in identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex quality concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Strong team management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and foster a culture of quality excellence.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of quality assurance are executed with precision.

Reports to: Assistant General Manager

Shift Hours: May need to Flex to business needs; before/after the typical 8-5.
