Bartender | OKC Tap House (Full Time)

Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.
The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas.The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.
Job Description:
The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking a guest-focused full time Bartender to join the opening team of this upscale hotel. This team member will be responsible for providing efficient friendly customer service at all times and to maintain a clean, professional top quality bar for the OKC Tap House.
Responsibilities:
- Mix drinks for servers according to standard recipes.
- Familiarity with the wine list and the stemware and appropriate garnishes used.
- Follow procedures as outlined in employee manual and bartenders manual. Jigger pour, making drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros.
- Keep bar stocked and clean. Follow sidework sheet.
- Monitor inventory.
- Ensure the consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails
- Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.
- Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years bartending experience strongly preferred.
- Extensive wine knowledge strongly preferred.
- One-year restaurant experience required.
- Pleasant personality required.
- Excellent communication skills in a loud environment required.
- ABLE State Alcohol certification and Food Handler certification required prior to first day worked.
- Must live within 50 miles of the hotel.
