QRS is seeking an Operations Director that would oversee the day-to-day operations and financial well-being of the various projects under their supervision. The Operations Director reports directly to the General Manager. At QRS, part of the Bone Dry Family, you will not be "Thrown to the wolves"!

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day to day operations and personnel.
  • Oversee all crews.
  • Help align crews for production and service.
  • Order/stage materials for production.
  • Supervise overall construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design budget and schedule.
  • Adjust budgets, approve bills, ensure subcontractor payments are made and conduct site visits.
  • Conduct regular meetings with contact managers, superintendents, and field foremen.
  • Determine training needs for roofing crews; organize and direct needed training in safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Review and analyze budget reports, prepare, and develop budget modifications and recommendations.
  • Document project discrepancy between budget and actual.
  • Recruit, train, and retain a workforce.
  • Willing to learn and teach best practices for roofing installation by fully participating in on-the-job training as well as periodic manufacturer training.
  • Ensure crews are adhering to OSHA and company safety regulations.
  • Know and stay abreast of design requirements, codes, and materials.
  • Must be able to calmly track multiple ongoing jobs.
  • Study methods of improving work measurement and performance standards.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10+ years experience in Commercial operations and/or project management for Commercial Roofing Contracting required
  • Experience managing P&L's
  • In depth knowledge of multiple commercial roof system installation and products
  • Ability to , correct and report, unsafe work conditions according to company and OSHA standards
  • Knowledge to inspect and ensure attention to detail and quality
  • Collect and research data to the company's benefit
  • Build and develop productive working relationships with company personnel and outside vendors and associates
  • Ability to understand complex issues and make decisions to benefit all parties as best possible
  • Navigate software programs and accurately enter data
  • Proficient with MS office, Excel, and typing
  • Stay up to date on professional and technological advances

Compensation and Benefits
  • $60,000 to $120,000 commensurate with experience
