Job Description

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope and cost.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Develop budgets, cost strategies, and value engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and executives to support preconstruction efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and bid presentations for potential clients.
  • Ensure compliance with company estimating procedures and industry standards.
  • Participate in project handoff meetings to transition estimates to the construction team.

The Successful Applicant

The Construction Estimator will possess:

  • 5+ years experience
  • estimating software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar tools
  • Ability to review project documents and develop accurate cost estimates
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently when needed.
