Responsibilities:

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Senior Budget Analyst to work in Huntsville, AL. The candidate must have an active secret clearance.

The Senior Budget Analysts with expertise in budget analysis and financial management to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial principles, advanced analytical skills, and a proven track record of supporting complex budgetary processes and program financial evaluations.

This role will involve leading budgetary initiatives, mentoring junior analysts, and providing strategic insights to enhance financial performance across the organization.

This is a full-time position with work anticipated mid December 2024 upon award.

Duties involved with this role:

  • Lead comprehensive budget analysis and program financial status evaluations, providing strategic recommendations to senior management during program reviews and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and analyze key performance budget metrics and indicators, translating data into actionable insights that drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of complex financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Monitor financial execution and obligation tracking, providing guidance on goals and objectives.
  • Manage and streamline payment processing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions while mitigating risks.
  • Lead the preparation and execution of budgets across various projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert cost estimating analysis and support for cost estimating documents, including Independent Government Estimates (IGEs), cost analysis for new projects, and life-cycle costs. Mentor junior staff in best practices for cost estimation.
  • Oversee financial auditing processes, ensuring adherence to internal controls and compliance with financial regulations. Provide managerial accounting support to enhance financial integrity.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial/budgetary data by implementing best practices for data collection, analysis, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and 8-12 years of relevant experience in budget analysis, financial reporting, and program financial management, with a focus on complex projects that include
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and databases, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements, with the ability to navigate complex financial environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and present complex information clearly.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a commitment to mentoring and developing team members.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.

Business Development:

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
