Payroll Specialist

You will work closely with our HR and accounting teams to streamline operations and maintain accurate employee data.

• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for weekly and biweekly cycles
• Oversee payroll functions for state and federal government projects, adhering to all relevant regulations
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for government-funded projects
• Manage and maintain accurate payroll records, including details of employee earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings
• Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries, providing updates on payroll processes as needed
• Monitor changes in payroll laws and implement relevant updates
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accuracy of employee data and streamline payroll operations
• Maintain compliance with prevailing wage laws and provide accurate reporting for government projects. • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Proven skills in Auditing.
• Solid knowledge in handling Benefit Functions.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks.
• Possession of Certified Detail Oriented Payroll (CPP) certificate is a plus.
• Experience in managing Payroll for under 100 Employees.
• Demonstrable expertise in various Payroll systems and procedures.
