Electrical Field Service Technician

Synerfac is seeking a Electrical Field Service Technician for our client in Chesapeake, VA. Our client is one of the largest independently owned motor and pump shops in the U.S. that focuses on rebuilding and remanufacturing rotating electrical and mechanical equipment.

• Diagnose operational problems in electrical power generation and control systems and equipment.
• Use specialized measuring and testing instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, meggers, Advanced Motor Circuit Testers [AWA IV-12, PDMA MCE, Megger ADX 15], etc.
• Make standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
• Plans and lays out work from blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams or specifications.
• Installs, repairs, and tests electrical systems, electrical equipment, emergency or standby generation systems, etc.
• Conduct IR Scans of Customer Power and Control Systems.
• Perform Trouble Shooting, Maintenance, and Repair of Electric Motors [AC Induction. AC Synchronous, AC Wound Rotor, DC Shunt Wound, DC Series Wound], and Generators [AC and DC] in the Field.
