Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Tele CWR - RNMSTELE24-15303

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Key duties include:

• Planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identifying patient needs and determining priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Developing and coordinating individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiating assessments based on patient problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care.
• Documenting care based on standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocating for evidence-based practices and supporting the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Providing patient-centric care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Med Surg/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting.

Education:

• Required: ASN.
• Preferred: BSN.

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required:
• BLS (AHA).
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Preferred:
• NIHSS.
• ACLS.
• Telemetry competency.

Languages:

• English (Speak, Read, Write).

Days per Week: 3

Schedule Notes:

• Neuro Stroke Unit
• 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Every Other Weekend Required
• No Holiday or On-Call Requirement
• Float to other Med Surg/Tele units as needed, including Covid unit
