Benefits Specialist (Part Time)

Our nonprofit client in Washington, DC is hiring for a temporary Benefits Specialist. This a part time (20 hours per week) and fully remote position. The contract is expected to be complete at the end of March 2025. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience administering benefits at a nonprofit organization.

Demonstrated experience with Paychex, JAMIS, or other related HRIS systems is highly preferred. Please apply today!

work hours: 9 AM - 2 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities
  • Cross-analyze and verify union and non-union employee and benefits data to prepare for and implement transitions to provisions of new collective bargaining agreement
  • Verify, report on and enter into systems employee and benefits data related to provisions of collective bargaining agreement transitions
  • Create and provide ad hoc reports from JAMIS, Paychex and other systems as requested
  • Analyze comparative data related to job descriptions, pay grades, employee compensation, and other job-related components related to day-to-day Talent & Culture processes
  • Upload, remove and otherwise organize documents and information on the Talent & Culture SharePoint site
  • Backstop management of benefits administration, HRIS data maintenance/processing, payroll support, invoice processing, onboarding and orientations, and all leave management, including FMLA
