Overview:
Amistad, HarperVia, and Harper Español publish books that represent a broad and diverse group of voices, cultures, and perspectives and share a commitment to publishing books that engage, enlighten, and entertain.
We are seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented intern for our marketing team. Projects may include influencer outreach, marketing research, social media, buzz mailings and more. The ideal candidate is curious to learn and will be an active participant in various aspects of bringing our books to the attention of consumers.The candidate must be well versed in social media and able to work independently and with others.
Responsibilities:
- Learn important publishing software programs and use them to assist in creating marketing copy, influencer outreach, administrative tasks, and other departmental functions
- Coordinate marketing mailings for buzz building campaigns to bookstores and influencers
- Assist with digital marketing tasks including digital advertising, social media outreach, and other content creation to promote our books
- Brainstorm and build lists for various methods of promotion, including book clubs, influencers and more.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be passionate about reading and promoting diverse voices.
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Canva.
- Fluency in Spanish language a plus.
- Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2025 or 2026 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.
- Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office from Monday – Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 2 – August 7, 2025. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
