Responsibilities:
The Bartender’s duties include but are not limited to mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests and while maintaining the high standard of cleanliness of each bar area according to established policies. They will ensure a positive guest experience and interact and service guests in a cordial and gracious manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
May include but are not limited to:
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
- Prepares all drinks in accordance with established recipes.
- Serves guests and servers according to established policy.
- Responsible for checks issued to him/her and acts as a cashier in front and service bars, except on casino floor.
- Responsible for the receipt of monies and settlement of guest checks in accordance with all appropriate policies.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Ensure a positive guest experience.
- Create and ensure a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment with the five F’s - Fast, Fun, Friendly, Fresh and Focused
- Treat Guests with a sense of caring and individuality while effectively identifying their specific needs
- Inform Supervisor of Guest needs which may require special accommodations
- Show special recognition of frequent Guests
- Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for Guests at all times
- Consistently welcome Guests, thank them for their patronage, seek ways to make them comfortable and express the desire to have them return
- Present a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance at all times
- Maintain constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered at the facility and inform Guests
- Handle Team Member and Guest concerns/dissatisfaction and disputes timely and professionally to the Team Member/Guest satisfaction, while maintaining financial responsibility
- Promote positive public relations and create an enjoyable atmosphere for all
- Inspect and ensure a clean, safe working environment, notify appropriate departments to handle deficient situations
- Maintain a professional and positive relationship with vendors, Guests and co-workers
- Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, polite, congenial, professional and efficient attitude.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Demonstrate commitment to assisting in the development of Seminole Tribe members participating in the Tribal Career Development program and, when a Seminole Tribe member’s assignment falls within your direct area of responsibility, act as a personal mentor/career advisor to the Tribe Member and submit progress reports and information to the Director of Tribal Development.
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year experience in a high-volume casual dining environment.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
- Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's policies and procedures.
- This position requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; use hands, reach with hands and arms, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, talk and hear. Also required are frequent, standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second-hand smoke and excessive noise.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements.Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
