Associate Patient Care Coordinator

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Assc Patient Care Coord in the healthcare industry, specifically located in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves a variety of tasks including patient registration, insurance verification, and maintaining patient records.
Responsibilities:- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely entry of demographic information into the ADT system at the time of registration.
- Collect co-pay from patients in the emergency room and handle other payment processing tasks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of specific registration requirements for different areas such as Main Admitting, OP Registration, ED Registration, Maternity, and Rehabilitation units.
- Review assigned patient accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of required documentation.
- Accurately input demographic and insurance information of patients.
- Verify insurance coverage for patients and communicate any dues to them.
- Meet CMS billing requirements for the completion of the MSP, issuance of the Important Message from Medicare, issuance of the Observation Notice, and other requirements as applicable.
- Identify and obtain patient/guarantor signatures on all required forms.
- Ensure all required documents are scanned into the appropriate systems.
- Provide patients with appropriate printed material handouts such as Patient Rights and Responsibilities, HIPAA Privacy Act notification, Advance Directive, etc. • Proven experience in Customer Service within a healthcare setting
- Proficient in managing Office Functions including scheduling, correspondence, and record keeping
- Ability to handle Documentation and Reporting tasks with attention to detail
- Experience in Training staff on new procedures and policy updates
- Familiarity with healthcare Procedures and Policy
- Proficient in Analytics and data interpretation
- Experience in Payment Processing and Billing, ideally within a healthcare context
- Experience in Materials Handling within a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Database management and Audit processes
- Knowledge of Insurance processes, particularly in relation to Medical Coverage
- Strong Leadership Skills with experience in team coordination or management
- Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks as required
- Experience in Clinical Trial Operations would be beneficial
- Ability to manage Receipt and verification of goods
- Familiarity with Consumer Electronics and Video equipment in a healthcare context
- Experience in Verification of documents and records
- Proficient in managing Medical Records, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Experience in Compliance Functions within a healthcare setting.
