Responsibilities:- Monitor the production line of Battenfeld injection molding machines, ranging in size from 65 to 720 tons, casting products from thermoplastic materials.
- Remove/unload finished components and parts from conveyor belts
- Physically and/or visually inspect and evaluate parts for conformance and quality based on established criteria and specifications as notated in process books.
- Execute any pre- or post-molding secondary operations including trimming.
- Measure and/or gauge components to ensure each is within specification.
- Trim and de-flash excess material from part using razor knife or specialty cutters.
- Operation of any secondary/auxiliary equipment including arbor presses and propane torches.
- Observe continuous operation of machines to detect jams or malfunctions.
- Manually pack parts into various sized containers.
- Inventory, scan, and record quantities of finished products.
- Monitor and document scrap quantities; inform Process Technician, Quality Manager, or Production Manager per occurrence.
- Handle materials such as plastics, resins, and cardboard.
