Sr Accountant I - Operations

Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for all plant accounting regulatory reporting, managing the electricity reconciliation and settlement process for all plant accounting, and will perform and maintain internal KPI reporting related to the settlement of EnLink’s Rich G&P assets. To perform the role effectively, the Operations Accountant must be able to:
- Understand multiple software systems (including Waterfield, Cognos, and PeopleSoft) and multiple midstream assets, including complex processing, gathering, and transportation assets.
- Prepare journal entries, closing files and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Generate timely and accurate monthly settlement information to be used across all plant accounting in relation to electricity used by EnLink’s gathering and processing facilities.
- Timely and accurate filing of select regulatory reports for EnLink’s G&P assets with EIA and the RRC of Texas or other regulatory agencies as required.
- Develop and generate internal reporting to be used for analysis by stakeholders within and outside of the Plant Accounting team.
- Create and maintain desktop procedures and process work flows.
- Respond to both internal and external customer needs in a timely and customer-focused manner. Periodically solicit feedback from internal clients for performance and improvement.
- Assist Operations Accounting Manager and Operations Accounting Director with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum two years of accounting experience required.
- Oil & gas accounting experience is a plus.
- Prefer experience with software systems such as, Waterfield, Cognos, and PeopleSoft.
- Visualization software or PBI experience a plus.
- Excellent computer and system skills, proficiency in Excel required.
- Sound analytical thinking and decision-making.
- Good interpersonal skills – team-player; relates well with peers and supervisor, works well with other functional groups including Commercial, Contracts, Measurement, etc.
- Gets results through personal initiative.
- Positive attitude and disposition.
- Clear credit report required.
