Overview:
SUMMARY
Bering Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Project Manager for a government contract in Washington DC. The selected candidate will assist the development and implementation process of an organization’s services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing projects.Assist in developing work breakdown structures, helping identify resource conflicts, managing schedule risks, ensuring deliverables schedule is met and providing technical writing skills. Assist in monitoring the project from initiation through execution and closing.
Help organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints. This position is to support the senior PMs who have overall project management responsibility. In this role, direct people management responsibility is not typically required.
This position requires basic technical IT infrastructure and operations knowledge.
Activities include assisting in the management of projects; communicating technical requirements to non-technical personnel; supporting brief preparation and presentation. Work assignments involve active participation on projects that may include design, development, and implementation, while evaluating, monitoring, and reporting on the status of project activities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide supporting activities to assist in the management and coordination of projects ranging in scope from single-system to Agency-wide implementation. Managed projects may also have a Government-wide impact such as the Electronic Government initiatives.
- Assist in the maintenance of detailed schedules for all projects to track milestones, tasks and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
- Assisting to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Ensure all phases of projects are documented using government provided ITSM.
- Helping to ensure compliance of all process, procedures, and the documentation requirements of the PRB, CCB, and other IT Governance Boards as may be required.
- Assist in development of the following mandatory weekly reports:
- Project Status Summary Report
- Project Management Updates
- Weekly Activity Report
- Monthly Metrics Report
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent certifications or military work-related experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience with managing a variety of deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience in Agile environments and Agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban)
- PMP Certification/PMI-ACP
- Proficient in reporting and analysis tools such as Power BI
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
- SAFe Agilist experience and certifications
- Microsoft DevOps experience
- Strong PowerBi experience
- Proficient in risk management methodologies and frameworks
- ITIL Certification
- Previous IT/CyberSecurity Project Management/RMF experience
- Excellent people and communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES- No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
