As the EAT Club team software architect, drive high quality work and technical direction across the entire engineering team. Define process, technology architecture and guide strategic initiatives that support world-class FoodTech products, services and delivery.
Utilize software programs in full-stack web development (AngularJS, React-Native, Python/Django backend, and MySQL in AWS). Lead the technical discussions and decisions of offshore engineering teams (no supervisory responsibilities). Ensure individuals/team are building to EAT Club standards and that work product aligns with product goals.
Build, optimize, and maintain the EAT Club consumer experiences as well as the internal tools powering our logistics pipeline. Work closely with product and logistics teams across the company to apply technology solutions that solve operational challenges.
Research, introduce and pitch new technology solutions to the executive team. Contribute to hiring personnel, assessing talent and building company culture by helping in assessing the technical ability/talent of potential candidates and provide feedback, along with other members of the team, which is used by management to make hiring decisions (no hiring responsibilities).
Must telecommute (work from home) during EST time zone hours from anywhere in the US and report electronically to Charlotte, NC headquarters.
Requires six (6) years of software architecture or software engineering experience to include five (5) years: Python, Django, SQS, AWS, AngularJS, and React-Native; full-stack software engineering and system architecture with a focus on building consumer-oriented applications; building FoodTech, last-mile delivery, or related consumer-oriented systems; working with geographically diverse teams and development partners; AWS ECS and AWS RDS; building consumer applications in React; two (2) years: building artificial intelligence forecasting systems; Terraform for configuring AWS environments; building food production forecasting systems.

Develop machine learning algorithms that enable meal forecasting, prediction and planning. Leverage AI and machine learning to mine data and identify patterns in eater preferences and ordering behavior to reduce waste / food loss and to more accurately forecast food inventory and supply chain needs.
Work M-F 8 AM-6 PM EST and be on-call on Slack and Jira outside of work hours. Weekend work when needed. Scheduled on call regularly (1 day per week).Must telecommute (work from home) during EST time zone hours from anywhere in the US and report electronically to Charlotte, NC headquarters.
